Mohamed Nzar Idriss ... aiming for record
A patient at Rumaillah Hospital is aiming to register his name in the Guinness World Records (GWR) by championing the process of writing the longest peace message in the world.
Mohamed Nzar Idriss says the message shall incorporate views and comments, made by the largest number of patients, on the concept of peace and ways and means to achieve international peace and security under the prevailing circumstances in the world.
“The idea came to me while I was following up the events and popular uprisings, especially in the Arab region, to put our countries back on the proper track. I think this is the most appropriate time to send such a message to the world to explain our dire need for peace, security and the change for the best,” he adds.
He is hopeful that Hamad Medical Corporation’s patients of all age groups, will be participants in the peace message.
The initiative has been welcomed by GWR management. Idriss hopes that a voluntary work agency or an entity caring for the disabled in Qatar could sponsor his initiative and help him in compiling patients’ opinions and comments on the concept of world peace.
The HMC departments and sections concerned are currently supporting the initiative, which will be implemented by Idriss soon.
