Mashreq Qatar has again been awarded the title of Best Consumer Internet Bank. The bank now has the distinctive honour of winning the award for the third year consecutively.
Mashreq Qatar was chosen as the best Internet bank in Qatar in the 12th edition of the awards series by New York-based business magazine Global
Finance.
A distinguished panel of experts at Infosys shortlisted candidates from among all entries and the final selection of winners was made by the magazine’s editors.
The Best Consumer Internet Bank award in Qatar was chosen on the basis of the criteria like strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings with the most advanced security features, growth of online customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives, website design and functionality.
Howard Kitson, country head, Mashreq Qatar, commented: “We believe a customer should not have to visit a branch to do banking and hence offer the best alternative channels for a customer to transact. This recognition shows how our commitment of delivering top-quality personalised service and excellence in customer care has remained steadfast. In addition to making the banking experience more convenient, we are constantly working to ensure the best levels of security and protection. State-of-the-art encryption, separate access codes for funds transfer and a robust information security protocol ensure that our customers can use our services safely and securely.”
Mashreq recently upgraded its online banking to an even more user-friendly interface and has upgraded all its ATMs to cash and cheque deposit machines where a customer can now pay credit card bills and deposit cash or cheques instantly into their accounts, 24x7.
Mashreq has a total of 14 ATMs conveniently located across Qatar.
