Qtel executives with the winners celebrating the “My Shop Shines with Qtel” event at the Marriott Hotel Doha
The winners of the “My Shop Shines with Qtel” contest were awarded at a ceremony on July 30. The contest, which ran from April to June, saw Qtel dealers across Qatar transforming their stores with creativity and the clever application of Qtel branding.
Shops hosted rockets, model buildings and elaborate displays of Hala and Shahry SIM cards, as dealers looked to dazzle their visitors and demonstrate the range of services offered by Qtel.
In the end, ten winners were named, each receiving a grand prize of QR10,000, while 20 runners-up each received a prize of QR5,000.
Among the grand prize winners were Cellnet, Telephone Communication, Skynet Mobile, Phone Zone, Peoples Telecom, Safari Phone, City Mobile, Gulf Palace S/M, Capital Phones, and Shadow of System.
The runners-up were Royal Communication, Al Neel, Zebra Qatar, Al Sadara Mobiles, Rakan, Al Gentel, Retaj Communication, Logic Phone, Al Faisal Phone, Fast Telecom Phone, Al Jazeerah Phones, Bumatar Supermarket, Al Afaq Mobile, Fone Care, Jawahar Fones, Al Maha International Mobile and Computers, Gulf Falcon Phones, Al Jaber Mobile, Raneen Communication and Mobile On Line.
All the winners were invited to a special celebration at the Marriott Hotel, Doha. There, over 250 Qtel dealers gathered for a gala lunch and to share ideas and make new contacts, with Hamad Hadi al-Nahdi, director Retail Channels, Qtel, presenting prizes to the “My Shop Shines with Qtel” winners and runners-up.
The event included two raffle draws, with prizes of QR1,500 for each of the winners, followed by the 10 “My Shop Shines with Qtel” winners invited to cut a celebratory cake with the Qtel team.
