Officials and guests inside the centre after it was formally opened
The Ministry of Interior opened an office in Dukhan yesterday for passport and immigration services, according to reports published in the local Arabic press.
 It was formally declared open by the director of the department of passports and immigration, Brig Abdullah Salem al-Ali. He said in his brief address that three more offices, one each in Messaeid, Rayyan and Zubara will be opened by the end of this year.
The office will cater to nationals and expatriates who reside in Dukhan and the surrounding areas.
The function was attended by Qatar Petroleum’s director of field operations at the Dukhan oil fields,  Ahmed Saifal-Sulaity, the director of security for the Shemal district, Brigadier Abdul Hadi al-Ahbaby, and several members of the central municipal council representing Dukhan constituency besides a large  number of residents of Dukhan.
