Outstanding children with special needs were honoured at a ceremony held under the aegis of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Special Needs recently.
Children from independent schools, Al Noor Institute for the Blind, Shafallah Centre for children with special needs and some English schools were among those honoured.Speaking on the occasion, vice-president of the society Rabia al -Kaabi expressed her deep appreciation for the mothers of the award winners. Mothers were honoured for the roles that they played in the progress of such children. The children were honoured for their  scientific knowledge. Qatar Steel Company and Nasser bin Khaled Al Thani & Sons were also recognised for supporting the society as its corporate sponsors.A total of 35 students were honoured at the ceremony held under the patronage of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani, chairman of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Special Needs.
