Public Works Authority (Ashghal) president Nasser Ali al-Mawlawi received the US Assistant Foreign Secretary Michael C Camunez and the accompanying delegation at his office on Monday.
In the meeting attended by senior Ashghal officials, both sides reviewed a number of issues of common concern in the areas of infrastructure.
Al-Mawlawi stressed the importance of such visits and the need for exchange of expertise in all areas, especially in the field of infrastructure, as well as exchange of knowledge, and ways of development and implementation of projects.
The official stressed that Ashghal is keen on marketing its projects locally and internationally, interacting with international companies for the implementation of major projects. Within a short period of its inception, Ashghal has attracted a large number of international companies, particularly from Europe and Asia participating in public works tenders.
