The event is organised by the Italian Business Council of Qatar (IBCQ) in partnership with Alfardan Sport Motors Company-Maserati.
Today’s event is in the Maserati Showroom at The Pearl-Qatar, and tomorrow’s ladies only event is at the Sharq Village and Spa.
The world famous haute couture designer - Lorenzo Riva - will showcase three garments from his collection for the launch of this event.
The participating companies include Oro e Seta, Atelier Armonie, Alida Giordani, Il Giardinodei Principe, and Gruppo Quattro.
Oro e Seta by Sandra Scaroni and Patrizia Russo uses 24K gold to make robes and abayas. Atelier Armonie by Alessia Bighi creates wedding dresses using the finest materials.
Alida Giordani creates exquisite designs for wedding gowns and evening robes. Il Giardinodei Principe presents women’s shoes and accessories, and Gruppo Quattro showcases evening dresses, bags and shoes.
IBCQ chairperson Palma Libotte described the event as a tribute to Italian style, design quality and craftsmanship.
“We chose Maserati showroom as a partner because Maserati is a world renowned icon of Italian style. It was great working with the Alfardan motors,” she said.
The Pearl-Qatar is the perfect location to inaugurate the event as the glamour of the Island goes hand-in-hand with the prestigious nature of the event, Libotte added.
Alfardan Sports Motors Company general manager Mohamed Kandeel said the event, which focuses on Italian excellence of craftsmanship, luxury, and heritage is exactly what Maserati is all about.
