DPS-MIS bids farewell to principal Santosh Mattu
DPS-Modern Indian School bade farewell to retiring principal Santosh Mattu at a well-attended ceremony at the Al Ghazal Club.
Present on the occasion were DPS-MIS patron Aisha bint Mohamed bin Hammam, DPS-MIS president Hasan Chogule, M I Farid, chairman building committee, senior vice president, Yasir Nainar, vice president Rocky Fernandes, George Thomas, treasurer, Azim Abbas, joint treasurer, Harish Kanjani, joint secretary, R Seetharaman, Group Chief Executive Officer, Doha Bank, Sanjiv Kohli, Deputy Chief of Mission, Indian Embassy, Anil Nautiyal and M I Qureshi (Indian Embassy).
Acting Principal Asna Nafees welcomed the guests and on behalf of the school thanked Santosh Mattu for her services to the institution. DPS-MIS patron Aisha thanked Mattu on behalf of her father, chief patron Mohamed bin Hammam. “I am at a loss for words,” Aisha said and wished her all the best.
Chogule was appreciative of the good work done by Mattu. “We meet to create memory and part to live the memory,” he said and wished her good health and wishes.
In her reply, Mattu said, “I am overwhelmed by the love, adoration, adulation and respect bestowed on me and return to you, all that you have given me. Life has to be like a moving river, which meanders around stones, we too need to rise above hurdles. Think of God, He is our strength in adverse circumstances.”  She concluded with words of gratitude for the trust reposed in her. “DPS-MIS will always be in my memory,” she added.
As a token of gratitude, mementos were presented to her by the DPS-MIS management and Doha Bank Group CEO Seetharaman.
