The meeting was held in connection with the preparations for the 1st Gas Summit, which will be held in Doha in November 2011.
The meeting was chaired by the representative of Qatar, Mohamed al-Hajri and co-chaired by Ali Hached, representative of Algeria. It was also attended by GECF Secretary General Leonid Bokhanovskiy and representatives of eight GECF member countries - Algeria, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela.
The meeting discussed reports by the GECF secretary general and the host country on the status of preparatory activities for the summit.
