The course has been organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Social Affairs in conjunction with the Al Fursan Educational Establishment and will take place over three months.
“Empowering women and providing them with the skills to maintain a strong family unit, whilst participating in Qatar’s economic and social development is crucial to Qatar’s success,” said a spokesperson. “Qatari women will form the bridge between maintaining valuable traditions and evolving personal and professional skills across all sectors. Over the coming weeks, more than 30 women will learn ways to improve their communication skills, improving their self esteem whilst gaining proficiency in areas such as project management and budgeting, which can be used both at home and in the work place.”
As part of the course, special lectures were delivered by family affairs and self development expert Faida Habib Kabira and Al Fursan general manager Haya al-Madadi.
The initiative has been organised as part of RasGas’ 2011 Year of the Community corporate social responsibility programme.
