These appointments come in line with Barwa’s vision and strategy to enable Qatari employees and promote them to leading key positions in the group, the company said in a statement.
Before joining Barwa in 2008, al-Hitmi, has worked in many leading administrative and engineering positions. He joined Kahramaa as a water supply network engineer, and then moved to the Special Engineering Office as Engineering Affairs Manager.
After joining Barwa, he was appointed as Barwa Village’s project manager, followed by general Manager, board member of Masaken Barwa Limited Company, and CEO of Salwa Bay project.
Barwa Real Estate has recently inked a framework agreement with Qatar Petroleum (QP). Barwa Financial District (BFD) will develop its project to become QP’s headquarter complex.
Upon completion, BFD will transfer ownership to QP, who will own and occupy the development. The deal will see Barwa Real Estate delivering a turnkey scheme for QP, enabling it to commence operations with immediate effect from the first day of delivery.
Al-Sayed, an engineer by qualification, has an experience of 18 years in amenities, facilities and real estate related industries.
Before joining Barwa in 2008, he worked in a number of key engineering positions, including head of maintenance unit, Qtel; head of Engineering and Academic Services, Aspire Sports Academy, and operation manager, Sports City in Aspire Academy.
Since joining Barwa, he was appointed as assistant general manager of Barwa Village.
