Now all quad bikes will carry licence plates
The Traffic Department held a meeting over safety measures to be taken while leasing quad bikes in the Sealine area.
The meeting was aimed at discussing regulations on leasing quad bikes and how to ensure the safety of users. It was explained that the bike should be licensed and shall carry licence numbers from authorities. It should not be leased without safety equipment required for motorcycles and quad bikes and it shall be classified as per the age groups and sizes of bikes.
The meeting also called on the leasers to ensure that parents are accompanying their children of all age groups while using quad bikes.
The meeting was attended by the director of Traffic Department, Brigadier Mohammed Saad al-Kharji; director of Public Relations Department, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Khalifa al-Muftah; top executives of quad bikes leasing companies; director of Sanctuaries Department, Salih al-Kuwari; representatives of the Internal Security Force (Lakhwiya), South Security Department and the Inspection and Observation Section at Traffic Department.
