Celebrating 30th year of operation as Doha’s leading English curriculum school the college has ambitious plans for relocation and expansion in the years ahead.
Principal Mark Leppard opened the meeting by thanking the more than 200 parents present.
Chairman Mark Vidler shared an overview of the board’s activities and achievements over the past year and, in keeping with good governance practices, demonstrated the transparency of all board
activities.
The parent group was then led in a highly participative session of brainstorming around key strategic issues and questions that face the college.
This was led jointly by governor Simon Casson, teacher Josh Brooks and head boy and girl Ali Khairat and Bayan Dada.
The ideas that were garnered from the group will play a key role in guiding future thought and strategy and will be combined with similar input from the student body.
In the closing address, Vidler commented: “The board and I are delighted to preside over such a well-attended and productive working session with parents and we all look forward to building on the legacy of success and achievement that is the hallmark of Doha College.”
