The Police Training Institute (PTI) held a graduation ceremony for three batches of Foundation Course participants on Tuesday. The course was aimed at qualifying new recruits to join the police force and to provide them with an appropriate level of policing, legal and administrative knowledge and practical skills enabling them to efficiently perform the tasks assigned. The attendants received classes in the Military Service Law, the Qatari Penal Code, special laws, the duties of different police sections, criminal investigation and inquiry skills, human rights, police operations, security guards, first aid, traffic, the art of dealing with the public and work of electronic offices as well as other general subjects. The directors of security departments, officers from the Qatar Armed Forces and Internal Security Force and parents of the graduates attended the ceremony.
