Merwebhotel Central Doha celebrated its first anniversary with a reception , which was attended by more than 150 guests, including officials from Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH), corporate clients and in-house guests. The invitees enjoyed an evening of culinary delights and live entertainment.
Merwebhotel Central Doha is the first of a new generation of hotels under the umbrella of the Merwebhotel brand – the hospitality brand developed in Qatar, under the patronage of QNH, showcasing a hotel concept especially created to meet the needs of contemporary business travellers.
The modern hotel concept which combines the heritage of Arabic hospitality with the benefits of modern technology is rooted in  the ancient Merweb fort that once provided shelter for traders and sea merchants. “Likewise, today Merwebhotel Central Doha is an oasis which caters to the needs of modern-day travellers, providing them with a stress-free living environment,” a spokesman said.
Besides 218 guest rooms and choice restaurants, Merwebhotel Central Doha boasts two meeting rooms , a health club with  a fully equipped gymnasium, heated outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room and massage treatment rooms. It is conveniently located near the Doha International Airport.
“We are proud to have had a successful first year of operation, and we pledge to continue to meet and exceed our guests’ needs and expectations. We look forward to the coming year and to many future events we have in the pipeline,” said Mario Borg D’Anastasi, general manager of the hotel.
