Star Musicals, an institute for Indian classical dance and music as well as Western music, was inaugurated recently by Indian Embassy second secretary M R Qureshi and Al Rayes Group chairman Ahmed al-Rayes in the Old Airport area.

Qureshi praised the facilities at the institute.
The institute offers courses from primary to professional levels in tabla, acoustic drums, veena, violin, guitar, Carnatic and Hindustani vocal and various forms of dance, principal Santosh Kulkarni said.
The highlight of the music courses is that students are also taught to sing cinematic songs in all languages along with a live orchestra. Singers of this orchestra are the institute’s students.
