HE Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah met in Doha yesterday visiting Argentina Minister of Federal Planning and Public Investment and Services Julio De Vido and his accompanying delegation. Discussions during the meeting dealt with relations between Qatar and Argentina and ways to enhance them, especially in investment in the energy sector. The meeting was attended by HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, and a number of senior officials at Qatar Petroleum (QP) and RasGas
HE  Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, the new Minister of Energy and Industry, was appointed a Cabinet member and Minister of State for Energy and Industry in April 2007. 
Earlier, the managing director of RasGas, Dr al-Sada is currently a board member. He is also on the board of directors of Qatar Petroleum.
Al-Sada earlier held the position of Director (Technical) at Qatar Petroleum where he directed major oil and gas and related infrastructure projects.  He brings with him a wealth of experience with more than 28 years with Qatar Petroleum, successfully managing various important corporate departments.
He is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Qatar Chemicals Company (Q-Chem), QatarGas Operating Company Limited, Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company (Tasweeq) and Qatar Steel. 
He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Metals Coating Company (Q-Coat) and ASTAD Project Management.
HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada conferred yesterday with  the Chairman of A.P. Moller - Maersk Group,  Arnold Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller. Bilateral co-operation and ways to
enhance it, especially in the energy sector, were discussed at the meeting which was attended by senior officials from Qatar Petroleum and Maersk
Al-Sada, an active member of the Qatari community, has served as a member of several distinguished committees and organisations, including the Permanent Constitution Preparation Committee, the Supreme Education Council and the National Committee for Human Rights.  Currently, he is the chairman of the Joint Advisory Board (JAB), Texas A & M University in Qatar.
He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), in UK, having earlier graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science and Geology, from Qatar University.  He is married with two daughters and three sons.
