The exhibition space at the Qatar’s first international edition and premium auto show, Qatar Motor Show 2011, has been fully booked six months prior to the event, the Qatar Tourism Authority has said.
The event promises to be a premium auto show with the latest car models, concept cars, super cars and futuristic cars from the most renowned style centres and car designers, including a selection of exclusive concept cars and automotive designs from reputed Italian
manufacturers.
The event is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors, who will have the opportunity to see both regional and world premier cars by some of the world’s well-known auto-makers, as well as enjoy the different interactive activities and outdoor programmes being organised during the exhibition.
The event, which will also feature the first Middle East Automotive Summit on January 26 to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, will as well bring together industry leaders and specialists in the field of motor production to discuss the future of mobility and the automobile industry. 
Volkswagen Group chief executive Martin Winterkorn will be a keynote speaker at the inaugural summit.
Speaking at a press conference held recently, QTA  chairman Ahmed al-Nuaimi expressed optimism on the success of the event and its positive impact on tourism for the country. “Qatar has been greatly successful in making significant investments in sports and in bringing sports-related events that will leave a huge impact on the sports scene in general and with this first international edition to Doha. It will be another great achievement for Qatar and the region,” he said.
He added that hosting the exhibition was part QTA’s vision and strategy to attract and promote domestic and regional tourism.
Besides al-Nuaimi, Sheikh Alhussain bin Ali bin Ahmed al-Thani, CEO of q.media and  Ahmad al-Sayed, managing director and CEO of Qatar Holding, the main sponsor of the show, were present.
 Sheikh Alhussain al-Thani said : “Our objective in organising the show was to bring a truly rich and multi-faceted event to Qatar and to the region. We are delighted to be part of this prestigious event, as it is part of our strategy to bring world-class events that will help establish Qatar’s position as a leading destination for international conventions and exhibitions.”

Qatari Diar and Barwa are the diamond sponsors of the show.
The show will open to the public on  January 26 at 8pm.
