Etihad Airways, UAE’s national airline, has re-launched its sales office in Doha, with ‘upgraded facilities and a modern look’ with a view to further strengthen its presence in the Qatari capital.
Etihad chief commercial officer Peter Baumgartner said the re-launch would enable the airline to support its rapidly growing customer base in Qatar.
“The state-of-the-art facilities will provide customers with personal service and everything they need to book flights and holidays, as well as learn more about our award-winning products and services and our expanding route network around the world,” he said.
He said the growing demand for Etihad flights to and from Doha has led the airline to upgrade its sales office.
The new office features include five separate booking counters and a dedicated team of 17 specialists.
“Since commencing operations to Doha in June 2006 with four flights a week, we have quickly grown to four flights per day, featuring both our award winning economy and business class-inspired service,” Baumgartner said.
With the recent opening of Ferrari World on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island and the many world-leading cultural and tourist attractions coming online in the next few years, coupled with Qatar’s spectacular win to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup Games, the future for traffic and business in the region seems unprecedented.
In November 2010, Etihad was awarded the prestigious title of “World’s Leading Airline” for the second consecutive year at the World Travel Awards (WTA). The airline was also awarded “World’s Leading First Class” for the third year in a row.
