Qatari riders had a good outing in the Spanish Championship yesterday at Aragon, with Nasser al-Malki and Saeed al-Sulaiti finishing 22nd and 26th in qualifying.

Al-Malki produced an improved performance despite suffering from stomach problems, while al-Sulaiti completed his first qualifying session in a CEV race.
Boosting their morale from the sidelines was QMMF team Moto2 rider Anthony West who took time off to pay them a visit.
“The test today started good, the second qualifying has gone better than the first one, because Anthony West helped me with my technique. He is teaching me to understand the bike better and we are modifying my style on the bike a bit. I hope that tomorrow I can make good lap times and keep improving, Anthony is being a great help,” said al-Malki
“The qualifying is the longest ride that I´ve ever had since we are here, because in the testing and practice I didn’t have the chance to ride more than 3 laps long,” said al-sulaiti.
“Now the bike was in perfect condition and I was able to ride less than 2 seconds slower than my teammate which is very good for me since it´s my first time with the bike and on this track.
“In Qatar I ride alone, but here it is very nice and easy to work with a whole team behind. I learn from my mistakes inside the track, they fix the bike right away when I find a problem perfectly, I like to work with this team.”
