Sultan al-Morraikhi and Rashid al-Sulaiti present the winners trophy to Lebanese driver Wissam

Lebanese driver Wissam Assaf took the first place in the first round of the Qatar National Sprint 2012 at the Losail International Circuit on Friday. Assaf driving a Mitsubishi EVO in the class 4M finished with a best time of 1:22:03
In second position, also with a Mitsubishi car but in the class 4S, Nadim Ziady made a time of 1:24:08. The Canadian driver Peter Die Vido with a Honda Civic made the third best time, 1:25:03.
A total of 19 drivers divided into four different categories registered for this round.
The trophies were given by Sultan al-Morraikhi and Rashid al-Sulaiti.
The next round will be on 18th May 2012.
