WHAT TO EXPECT: Action from Porsche GT3 Cup Middle East
After Qatar National Baja and Maserati Trofeo events organised by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation in the last two weeks, now it is the turn for Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.
Losail International Circuit will host the 9th and 10th round of this exciting championship today and tomorrow. Not only it is the first time that this championship arrives to Qatar, but also it will be the first time to be under the floodlights.
The other previous rounds of the series have been in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and the  last round will be in Bahrain on 29th – 31st March. The Losail round will be the round with more entries as a total of 18 drivers will be at the starting grid.
Race 1 is scheduled today at 20:50 and Race 2 tomorrow at the same time. The grandstand of the circuit will be open from 16:00 till 22:00 and the entrance is free.
In the same weekend, there will be the fourth round of Qatar National Road Racing Championship where the leader is Rob Frijns in Open class. Regarding Production class , the Qatari driver Jassim al Maaddeed is leading this category with 30 points. In second and third position with 16 points , are Hamad bin Eid al-Thani and Amro A Hamad. Accoring to the provisional entry list, a total of 17 drivers will take part in this round.
Free qualifying practices will be today at 17:00 and 19:00 and the race is scheduled tomorrow at 19:20. Press conference will be tomorrow at 19:45 after the QNRRCH Race podium ceremony.
