Al Sadd crashed to a shock 1-0 defeat to Al Arabi to lose ground on Lekhwiya in the chase for the Qatar Stars League yesterday.Al Sadd needed a victory to close in on Lekhwiya’s 34 points but the defeat left them stuck on 30 with both teams having played 16 matches.
Ahmad Khalfan was the one who spoiled Al Sadd’s day by scoring for Al Arabi in the 85th minute, a victory that took them to 21 points from 16 matches.
