With less than 50 days to go, the Arab Games Organising Committee (AGOC) reveals a wide range of merchandise, including branded t-shirts, polo shirts, caps, mugs, scarves, and Blackberry & iPhone covers, now available for sale at the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) booths in Landmark, City Center, and Villaggio malls, as well as Katara.

In addition to these items, stuffed creations of Wathnan, a traditional Arabian horse and the official mascot of Arab Games Doha 2011, as well as those of other characters related to the upcoming games, are available for sale at the specified merchandise venues.
The merchandise has been designed to convey the energetic spirit of Arab Games Doha 2011, which are scheduled to take place from December 9th – 23rd, 2011.
“The merchandise items offer something for everyone, and we believe that adults and children of all ages, those who live in Qatar and those who will travel to Qatar to attend the games, will see owning one of these items as a symbol of their support and appreciation for Arab Games Doha 2011,” said Maher Safi, Director, Marketing, AGOC.
“At the moment, we are less than 50 days away from the games that we are currently in full swing preparations for – and launching this full range of items all across the country is just one of the ways in which AGOC aiming to inspire Arab sports fans and elevate the Arab Games to world-class standards,” he said.
Prices of newly released merchandise items range from QAR 19-95. In future merchandise items will also be sold at the Athletes’ Village and Fan Zone in Aspire.

Arab Games Doha 2011 will feature 22 countries, close to 30 sports, and over 6,000 athletes and officials, in one action-packed multi-sport event.
