Yousif al-Obaidli, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis Federation said the event will help unearth local talent with an eye on the future.“The Qatar Tennis Federation is once again proud to partner with ExxonMobil in the ExxonMobil Qatar Nationals Youth Tournament. ExxonMobil’s continued involvement in community initiatives is highlighted by their support of the Qatar Nationals Youth Tournament,” said al-Obaidli.
“The future of Qatar tennis is on display during the week-long event and the Qatar Tennis Federation takes pride in growing the game and creating the stars of tomorrow.”
Saleh Saad al-Mana, ExxonMobil Qatar Inc. Vice President and Director of Government and Public Affairs, said, “We are proud to continue our support for the Qatar Tennis Federation. Following our annual sponsorship of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, we’re also pleased to extend our support to the ExxonMobil Qatar Nationals Youth Tournament.
“This falls in line with our objective to encourage the youth in cultivating their talent and increase their appreciation of tennis.
As the only youth national tennis tournament in the country, 120 boys and girls from Qatar will participate in the one-week event in categories including under 10s, under 12s, under 14s, and under 18s.
