Most of ASPIRE Academy’s student-athletes have returned home after competing in different tournaments in Europe and in the Arab world.

Mohamed Fateh: personal best in javelin throw
The athletes benefited from intense training and competition against quality opposition.
The Academy’s athletics team achieved some outstanding results during competitions in Sweden and Finland.
They took part in six competitions during their Swedish training camp winning a total of 66 medals at Stockholm and Goteborg.What was also significant is that all athletes set new personal bests including Mousab Adam (1500m and 2000m), James Takyi (100m and 200m), Khalid al-Sharani( 100m) and Mohamed Fateh (javelin throw) to name but a few.
At the Finland event, the boys took part in three main competitions in Lohja, Asikkalla and Kuopio. They won a total of 16 medals and registered 7 personal bests.
Moawia Bela won gold and silver in the 1500m and 800m respectively. Mousab Adam won gold in the 400m and silver in the 80m.
In squash, a four-member Academy team participated in the Asian Junior Championships in Amman as part of the Qatar National team.
Sadam Mehawesh and Abdulwahab al-Ishaq (under-15) and Abdulla Al-Tamimi and Abdulla al-Mass (under-17) finished 11th, 18th, 17th and 21st respectively.
The boys participated in many European tournaments, starting with the Spanish Junior Open 2011, in Santiago de Compostela where Abdelaziz Omeira (U-13), Umair Zaman (U-15), Azlan Amjad (U15) and Faisal Masoud al- Marri (U-17) finished 5th, 12th, 3rd, and 14th respectively.
A larger list of eight athletes started the Pioneer Junior Cup 2011 in Cologne, Germany. This year cup saw the biggest draw ever and Abdulla al-Tamimi did well by winning six out of seven matches.
