Philippine National Police (PNP) director general Nicanor Bartolome holds a Gloc-17 pistol during a visit to a gun exhibition in Mandaluyong City, east of Manila, Philippines, yesterday. The PNP has laid plans to purchase around 60,000 pistols worth an estimated 1.2bn pesos (23mn euro) as part of modernisation efforts for the police force’s short arms requirement, according to local news reports.
