A pair of red-crowned cranes do a courtship dance at a sanctuary in the village of Tsurui in Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido yesterday. Some 400 red-crowned cranes have been observed at the village over the winter, having migrated from eastern Russia, northeastern China and eastern Mongolia
