Residents attempt to stop anti-riot policemen from escorting a demolition team to their homes during a demolition of informal settlers homes in a squatter area in Manila yesterday. Hundreds of informal settlers scuffled with anti-riot policemen as authorities tried to enforce a demolition order on informal settlers squatting on private land, to pave the way for the development of the area by a property developer.
