Workers remove the tusks from the exhumed skull of a Sri Lankan elephant at a compound of a Buddhist temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka, yesterday. The temple tusker with a fully grown and rare pair of tusks was buried in the temple compound with due respects, following its natural death last year. The skull was exhumed to obtain the tusks which normally are placed ornamentally in most Buddhist shrine rooms.
