The terrace of the renowned seaside Galle Face Hotel, just outside Colombo, is deserted following a tsunami warning in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Wednesday. With the devastation of the 2004 tsunami still fresh in their minds, the public reacted and moved to higher ground after an 8.6-magnitude earthquake off Sumatra island triggered small tsunami waves of up to 0.6 metres.
