Sri Lankan university students protest in Colombo yesterday. Students were demanding removal of Vice-Chancellor N L A Karunaratne of the Sri Jayawardenepura University after a petrol bomb blast damaged a memorial statue at the University on Thursday. The bomb blast is believed to be committed by ‘pro-ragging’ students trying to intimidate the university’s safety marshals.
