Disqualified Maoist combatants participate in the torch rally in Kathmandu yesterday. The former Maoist combatants, who had been “disqualified” by the United Nations Mission in Nepal’s verification process in 2007, have announced Kathmandu-centric protests, saying that they have not been given relief packages promised by the government. The government had evicted 4,008 combatants disqualified by the UNMIN during the verification process.
