Ooredoo has announced that the SmartWoman App, which was created in conjunction with Qualcomm Wireless Reach, is now available for download in Qatar.
The App, the first of its kind, is available exclusively to female Ooredoo customers. It aims to help develop and support women in the country with its content and provides educational content, social networking, and social impact information.
The SmartWoman App costs QR3 per week or QR12 every month, and can be downloaded via the Apple Store or Google Play now.
Ooredoo director Community & Public Relations Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari said, “Championing women is something Ooredoo feels strongly about both in the company and the community. Launching this App will help women utilise their skills. It will also help Qatar use its brilliant and hardworking diverse female population to the best of their ability in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. I encourage all women wanting to get ahead to download the App.”
She added, “App content includes stories and articles from experts in various fields to help women pinpoint what they need to do to improve their business performance, be more efficient and effective in their jobs, and also generate new employment opportunities.”
The SmartWoman App is available in English and Arabic, as well as through a mobile web-app, enabling Ooredoo’s entire customer base to access the community, without the need for a smartphone.
