Rory Miller is Professor of International Politics at Georgetown University in Qatar, where he is also Director of the Energy Studies and Small States Research Programs. He teaches and researches regional security, alliances, energy and maritime security, small state security and external intervention. He has authored or edited 14 books and co-edits the Cambridge University Press book series on "Intelligence and National Security in Africa and the Middle East". His articles in policy outlets and the international media have appeared in Foreign Affairs, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy, The New Republic and The National Interest.
