Rajagiri Public School (RPS) Doha has been crowned overall champion at Kalanjali 2026, the Qatar School Youth Festival, after a standout showing across music, dance, art and literary events.

The five-day inter-school cultural festival, organised by Media Pen at The Ideal Indian School in Abu Hamour, drew participants from Indian schools across Qatar. RPS finished with 1,264 points and 148 prizes in individual and group categories.

The school also took three of the festival’s top individual honours. Devapriya Patteri Thazha of Grade VI was named ‘Kalathilakam’ (Best Performer, Girl) in the junior category. Dakshin Dilu, also of Grade VI, won ‘Kalaprathibha’ (Best Performer, Boy) in the junior category, while Kiaan Panchal of Grade IX took the same title in the intermediate category.

A total of 535 RPS students took part in the festival. The school credited the result to its faculty, particularly the Departments of Music, Dance, Art, English, Malayalam, Hindi and Arabic, which trained the participants.

Principal Joshy Abraham congratulated the students, teachers and parents for their support. He and the school management also singled out Program Coordinator Davis Paul for his dedication and leadership in steering the school’s participation, and thanked all stakeholders for their commitment from preparation through to the festival’s close.
