The MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar 2026 returns to Lusail International Circuit (LIC) from November 6 to 8, and organisers have released an essential guide to help spectators plan their race weekend, including event schedules, transportation, venue access, and entertainment.
The event marks Round 20 of the 22-race championship and the 22nd edition of MotoGP at LIC. Continuing a tradition that began in 2004, the three-day event will feature the championship’s only night race on the circuit’s 5.38km track, which has 16 corners. The programme includes the MotoGP Tissot Sprint, Moto2, Moto3, the Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup and an opening ceremony.
Friday’s programme begins at 12.20pm with Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup practice, followed by Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP sessions. An autograph session will run from 4.30pm to 5pm, while MotoGP practice concludes the day at 8pm.
Saturday features qualifying sessions across the categories, the Moto4 Asia Cup Race 1 at 4pm and the MotoGP Tissot Sprint at 7pm, followed by BMW M Laps.
Sunday’s programme includes the Moto4 Asia Cup Race 2 at 1.35pm, followed by the Moto3 race at 4pm and Moto2 at 5.15pm. The opening ceremony takes place at 6.51pm ahead of the 22-lap MotoGP Grand Prix at 7pm.
Circuit gates will open at 11.30am on Friday and Saturday and close at 7.30pm. On Sunday, gates will open at noon and close at 8pm. The full timetable is available at www.lcsc.qa/motogp.
Spectators are encouraged to use public transportation, with free metro shuttle buses operating between Qatar University Metro Station and LIC. The journey is expected to take approximately 15 minutes, with continuous services running from 11.15am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 11.45am to 10pm on Sunday.
Drivers should access the circuit via Al Khor Coastal Road, take Exit 32, and follow the spectator parking signs. Free designated parking is available, although visitors are advised to arrive early because of expected traffic congestion. Carpooling is encouraged.
Karwa taxis, Uber and Badr-Go services will also operate, with designated pick-up and drop-off areas.
Spectators are encouraged to download the LIC App for event updates, schedules and venue navigation. The Lusail Tickets App will provide access to mobile tickets, event information and important notices. Fans should ensure their phones are sufficiently charged to display ticket QR codes upon entry.
Beyond the racing, the Fan Zone will feature interactive entertainment, food and beverage outlets, children's activities and photo opportunities. A Cultural Village will showcase Qatari heritage through traditional crafts, henna, spices, oud demonstrations and Dahrooi, a traditional Qatari game.
Fans will also have opportunities to meet riders through autograph sessions and Hero Walk experiences. The first 200 fans at Friday's autograph session can collect riders' signatures. In contrast, the first 400 eligible spectators can access the paddock during the scheduled Hero Walk sessions.
On Saturday, the MotoGP Tissot Sprint podium ceremony will take place on the Fan Zone stage, bringing spectators closer to the celebrations.
Spectators are advised to check the prohibited-items list before arriving and purchase tickets only through authorised sellers. Tickets remain available at tickets.lcsc.qa.
