QAMO (Qatar Moms) celebrated its sixth anniversary with Shagun 6.0, a grand Diwali-themed celebration at Hilton Doha. The event brought together 150 women for an evening of friendship, cultural festivities and togetherness.
Founded by Deepa Jaiswal on July 24, 2020, QAMO has grown from a small circle of mothers into a thriving community of over 6,700 women on Facebook and approximately 2,500 WhatsApp members. It is an active chapter of UNIMO (Universe of Moms), founded by Neha Kare Kanabar, which connects over 750,000 women worldwide.
The celebration featured cultural performances, fun games, raffles and exciting giveaways. The Diwali Saree Glam theme added colour and elegance to the evening.
Addressing the gathering, Jaiswal thanked UNIMO founder Neha Kare Kanabar, the QAMO Admin Team, sponsors, and members for their continued support and contributions.
The QAMO Admin Team, Jaiswal, and Akansha Sabharwal led the event.
Over the past six years, QAMO has evolved beyond a social group into a supportive platform for friendship, cultural connection and women’s empowerment. As it enters another year, QAMO remains committed to strengthening bonds and creating a sense of belonging among mothers in Qatar.
