Qatar Fuel Company’s (Woqod) net profit in the first nine months of 2026 increased by 13% to QR852mn from QR752mn in the same period last year.

Earnings per share for the period amounted to QR0.86, compared to QR0.76 for the same period last year.

According to Woqod Group chairman Ahmed Saif al-Sulaiti, the increase in net profit and earnings per share during the reporting period is primarily attributed to inventory price fluctuations driven by prevailing market conditions, which witnessed a tangible price rise, particularly during the third quarter of 2026.

Concurrently, overall sales volume recorded a 14% decrease compared to the same period in 2025, mainly due to ongoing geopolitical conditions, with aviation fuel being the primary contributing factor.

Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi, managing director and CEO, announced that Woqod opened three new stations during the nine-month period ending September 30, 2026. Furthermore, the construction of four additional stations is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

He said Woqod will construct more petrol stations in the future as required by immediate needs, alongside formulating the necessary plans and programmes to enhance asset sustainability, reliability, and safety.
