On 9 October 2026, we had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar, to DOC Medical Center.
Dr. Emmanuel Tolessa, Founder & CEO of DOC Medical Center, led His Excellency on a tour of our facility, introducing our specialised medical and rehabilitation services.
The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen healthcare cooperation between Tanzania and DOC Medical Center. A proposed hospital partnership involves Tanzania’s Ministry of Health, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF). DOC’s anticipated contribution includes medical equipment, specialists and doctors, with completion of the proposed project expected before AFCON 2027.
We extend our sincere appreciation to His Excellency for his visit and interest in our services. We value the opportunity to explore how our expertise can support healthcare development and access to care in Tanzania.
