The Saudi-led military coalition on Thursday said its forces intercepted two ballistic missiles fired at Riyadh by Houthi fighters in Yemen, a spokesman said, hours after multiple explosions were heard in the Saudi capital.

"We intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards Riyadh," Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi coalition, said in a statement.
