Qatar's Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) announced that Qatar has advanced in the Global Real Estate Transparency Index (JLL - GRETI 2026), ranking 63rd out of 88 global markets in 2026, compared to 68th in 2024.

In a post on its X account, Aqarat said the achievement reflects notable regional progress among Gulf markets in 2026, along with improved availability and transparency of real estate data. Qatar was also recognised as one of the 10 most improved markets globally.

The authority reaffirmed the ongoing efforts of Qatar and Aqarat to develop the regulatory environment, promote transparency, and build a more efficient real estate ecosystem. These efforts aim to boost investor confidence, enhance the attractiveness of the real estate market, and support the sector’s sustainability and growth.

The Global Real Estate Transparency Index (GRETI), issued by JLL, is a key reference for investors, decision-makers, and financial institutions worldwide. It measures risk, transparency, and data availability across various real estate markets.
