Ooredoo has won the Qatar Private Sector Nationalisation Award in the Information Technology and Digital Services sector, recognising its contribution to empowering Qatari talent and advancing nationalisation in the private sector.
Organised by the Ministry of Labour under its “Himmah” initiative, the award recognises organisations that have made tangible contributions to nationalisation, the development of Qatari talent, the competitiveness of the national economy, and the sustainability of the labour market.
“This national achievement reaffirms that Qatarisation is more than a recruitment target for us; it is a cornerstone of our strategy to build an organisation whose growth and innovation are driven by Qataris,” Ooredoo Qatar chief executive Sheikh Ali bin Jabor bin Mohammad al-Thani said.
“The award recognises Ooredoo’s ongoing efforts to attract, develop, and empower Qatari talent, and to provide clear career paths that enable them to gain experience, build their skills, and progress into leadership roles within the company,” Ooredoo Qatar chief human resources officer Maryam Hassan al-Hajri said.
