Qatar Chamber has announced the date for the upcoming Third Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Qatar Conference, scheduled for Oct. 6 to 7 at The Ritz-Carlton Doha.
Organized by Hawkama International, the two-day conference aims to enhance corporate sustainability, social responsibility, and sound governance frameworks, highlighting their vital role as cornerstones for building a resilient and sustainable economy.
In his remarks at the press conference, Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber, Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansori said that ESG issues have become critical pillars of corporate competitiveness, investment readiness, risk management, and long-term sustainability.
"As global standards evolve, a company's ability to integrate ESG principles into their strategies and operations has become an important factor in their capacity to grow, attract investment, build trust, and remain competitive in rapidly changing markets," he noted.
Al Mansori said Qatar Chamber views the conference as an important platform to deepen dialogue among business leaders, policy experts, and key stakeholders. It presents an important opportunity to raise private-sector awareness regarding modern governance and corporate responsibility, thereby directly contributing to elevating Qatar's overall business environment.
For her part, Chairperson of Hawkama International and the upcoming conference, Dr. Buthaina Hassan Al Ansari said the conference's third edition brings together international and local experts to discuss developments in governance, environmental and social sustainability, corporate disclosure, and sustainable finance and investment. She announced that the conference will launch a dedicated digital platform to help institutions streamline ESG reporting, structure disclosure requirements, and elevate overall reporting quality.
