The 'Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg', held in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has announced the first release of speakers for the event, taking place in New York on September 20 alongside the 81st UN General Assembly.
The event will bring together global leaders, policymakers, investors, and business executives at a pivotal moment for geopolitics and the global economy.
Under the theme 'Growth on New Terms: Capital, Risk and Resilience', conversations will explore how geopolitical uncertainty, shifting capital and trade flows, and changing energy and technology landscapes are reshaping global growth and investment.
The programme will feature interviews and discussions with influential leaders from government, business and finance, including Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani; Minister of State for Energy Affairs and QatarEnergy President and CEO, His Excellency Saad Sherida al-Kaabi; Minister of Finance His Excellency Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari; Qatar Investment Authority CEO Mohammed Saif al-Sowaidi; Minister of Commerce and Industry His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal al-Thani; Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies Founder Michael R Bloomberg; Citi Chair and CEO Jane Fraser; Goldman Sachs Group Chairman and CEO David M Solomon; and Apollo Global Management Co-Founder, CEO and chairman Marc Rowan.
