His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and British Prime Minister Andy Burnham discussed bilateral relations and ways to deepen and expand co-operation across various fields.
The discussions took place during a telephone call His Highness the Amir received from the British prime minister yesterday. The two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues, particularly
developments related to the Palestinian cause and efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
They also discussed the recent escalation in the Strait of Hormuz and its implications for the region and international maritime navigation. Both sides stressed the importance of de-escalation and prioritising dialogue and diplomatic solutions to strengthen regional security and stability.
