MEEZA has signed a landmark agreement worth QR1bn with a global hyperscaler that is one of the world’s fastest-growing cloud service providers.
The agreement represents the largest contract in MEEZA’s history. It will provide 8 megawatts of operational capacity for data centre services under a long-term leasing agreement.
It also marks a significant milestone for MEEZA and Qatar’s digital infrastructure ecosystem, reflecting the growing demand for world-class data centre capacity driven by the rapid expansion of cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and data-intensive technologies.
The capacity underscores the strong demand for MEEZA’s data centre infrastructure and the global hyperscaler’s confidence in MEEZA’s ability to deliver highly resilient, secure, and efficient digital infrastructure.
The new data centre campus will support the hyperscaler’s growing cloud and AI workloads, providing the highest levels of reliability, efficiency, and scalability while contributing to Qatar’s ambitions to establish itself as a leading regional hub for digital infrastructure and attract global technology investments.
