Qatar Chamber took part in activities of the International Day of Social Responsibility, held alongside the International Forum for Sustainable Economy 2026 in Manama. The event was organized by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, in partnership with UNIDO's Investment and Technology Promotion Office and the Union of Arab Chambers.
During the event, the Chamber was honored in recognition of its efforts in promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable practices. The recognition was presented during the ceremony honoring the winners of the 2026 Arab CSR Award - 4th Edition, held as part of the International Day of Social Responsibility activities.
Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department at Qatar Chamber, Hussein Al Abdulghani, said the recognition reflected the Chamber's commitment to promoting the culture of CSR and embedding sustainability principles across the business sector. He emphasized that corporate social responsibility is a vital pillar of private sector institutions' role in supporting development and serving the community.
He highlighted the Chamber's focus on encouraging companies to adopt sustainable and responsible practices, adding that this recognition servesas an incentive to advance these efforts, further strengthening the private sector's role in delivering initiatives with a positive and lasting impact.
The recognition highlights the Chamber's dedicated support for corporate social responsibility, as well as its commitment to advancing sustainability and encouraging private sector institutions to adopt practices that serve the community and drive sustainable development.
The Arab CSR Award is considered one of the leading initiatives aimed at highlighting best practices in the fields of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, while recognizing institutions that make effective contributions to achieving the SDGs and strengthening the role of the business sector in serving communities.
