HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani yesterday praised Hamas's decision to accept the roadmap for completing implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, voicing hope that it would help end the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Strip and meet their aspirations for security and stability.
He was speaking at a meeting with Chairman of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Khalil al-Hayya and a number of the movement's leaders. They reviewed developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The prime minister stressed the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and press Israel to meet its obligations under the agreement and halt its continuing violations of Palestinian rights, so that the roadmap is implemented in full, leading to peace and stability in Gaza.
