His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has discussed bilateral ties and the latest regional developments with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah.

During a phone conversation, the two ministers took stock of diplomatic efforts and coordination to reduce tensions and bolster regional security.

HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need for all parties to pursue dialogue and diplomacy and to implement the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, including ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, to safeguard regional security, preserve recent gains and strengthen stability.

His Excellency also reaffirmed Doha's support for efforts to ease tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that would deliver lasting peace in the region.
